Analysis:
Over the course if ENG 110, I have had to create MLA citations as well as use in-text citations when quoting or using examples from specific sources. Early on in the semester, I was confused on the proper use of MLA in-text citations as well as creating a works cited page. This was evident in project one, where I thought I was supposed to italicize the title of a source in an in-text citation. Thankfully with the help of the Student Academic Success Center and our writing fellow, I learned how to properly cite in-text citations and create a works cited page. As one can see in the final draft of my project two, I put quotations around the title of a source in an in-text citation and properly order the the quote, author, and page number. Also, one can see that I correctly cite my sources in MLA format on my works cited page. I did order them incorrectly due to the sources not being in alphabetical order, but I made sure to correct this on my project three. Along with learning how to properly cite using MLA format, I have improved my ability to correct local revisions. It was emphasized that global revisions should be the majority of focus when revising essays, but our class did talk about local revisions. Most of my early local revisions that I needed to make included things such as capitalization, grammar, and proper usage of commas. After learning more about these, I made less and less errors of capitalization, grammar, and commas. As one can see in the first draft of my project two, I do not make very many sentence-level errors; much less than early on in the semester. One can see that the few that are there were fixed by the final draft.
